Health Education and Health Promotions conducts community presentations on reproductive health / responsible decision-making, chronic disease / wellness topics, and local community health data as requested. Promotes policy and environmental change to support healthy behaviors, and works with community stakeholders to create and manage sustainable programs geared towards improving health outcomes in target populations. Informs the community about health issues that impact our everyday lives, coordinates the community health assessment process, and publishes the State of the County Health Report. Based on these data, the Health Education and Promotion team pursues grants and partnerships to address identified and emerging community health issues through the implementation of Evidence Based Interventions.
